Wow! What a hot week it has been.
The children in Jellyfish, Seahorses, Starfish and Sealion classes have all been amazing this week as they have coped so well with the extreme heat without any complaints. We have tried to keep them cool by providing lots of water play and a big painting activity.
On our last day we took out teddy bears onto the field and ate ice pops with them. This helped us to feel a little cooler.
The children also spent time with their new teachers and new classmates this week which was really exciting.
This year has been a strange one as we were rudely interrupted by Covid, but it has nonetheless been a really good one. The reception team have had a fantastic time getting to know each and everyone of your children and helping them learn lots of new things. We have been astounded by their progress in spite of missing quite a few weeks of school during Lockdown.
We hope that they all have a lovely summer holiday and wish them all the very best as they move into Year 1. We will miss them all very much.
