We know that lots of you are really missing the adults in school and we are all missing you lots too. We thought it would be nice to share some bedtime stories with you. There will be a couple of releases per week and we are hoping to have a mixture of picture books and chapter books.
Please leave comments for the staff to read as we love hearing from you.
Thank you Mrs Woodcock for being brave and going first!
See you all soon love Mrs Grove
At school, the Year 4s were creating stop motion videos. Two of the girls made a little message for everyone at home.
Last half term, the children in Year 4 have worked with Susan from Santander taking part in the Moneywise programme. They have been learning about how to look after their money and the world of digital banking.
The children really enjoyed the sessions. Isla said "It's great. Now I know what I'm dad is talking about."
We certainly have some budding entrepreneurs!
Yesterday the children had a special guest come in and speak to them all about the exciting projects they were going to be undertaking during art week.
The children were extremely excited to see some of the fantastic pieces of art they will be making.
All of our hard work will culminate in an exhibition at Harris Way. More to follow.
11 children across Years 2, 3 and 4 recently entered a Gymnastics Competition. All the children have been practicing since before Christmas with Miss Mullane for this competition. On the day, all of the children were absolutely AMAZING and showed incredible perseverance and courage. We are super proud of all of the gymnasts' hard work towards this competition!!
Today, Dolphins made their very own Stone Age paints. We have been learning all about Stone Age cave paintings and how the Stone Age people made their own paints, so we decided to give it a go! We used natural resources that people would have found in the Stone Age like berries, soil, charcoal and chalk. We crushed and mixed the resources with water. Some children even decided to take the messy option and do this with their fingers just like the Stone Age people. All the children really enjoyed exploring art with different materials. Well done, Dolphins!
