Year 4 Volunteers

What are Year 4 Volunteers?

Every year, the Year 4 pupils are given the opportunity to apply to be Year 4 volunteers. There are a range of opportunites available to help out around the school and help make it a an enjoyable place for all. It is the Year 4's chance to become role-models for the younger children and demonstrate good manners and fabulous behaviour.

Roles and Responsibilites

Lunch Warriors
Our lunch monitors help out during lunchtime, supporting the younger children in the hall. They help alongside the lunchtime supervisors to keep our hall clean and tidy, making sure children are being sensible and responsible.

Play Leaders
Play leaders help organise and run games on the playground for the other children. They also take a lead in refereeing football games in the Smooga and ensuring children are following playground rules. They monitor the "Friendship Stop" , trying to help anyone who is struggling to find someone to play with.

Reading Stars
The Year 4 reading stars work with children throughout the school who may be less confident readers. They help foster a love of reading throughout the school and share the books they have read.

Library Heroes
Our Library Heroes do a fantastic job of keeping our library neat and tidy and ensure that all books are catalogued correctly. They make sure that any damaged books get the care and attention they deserve.

Eco Champions
The Eco Champions are tasked with making our school a more environmentally friendly place. From ensuring we are not wasting energy to promoting reusing and recycling.
