There are lots of different resources and activities available to support your child's social, emotional and mental health. It is important to talk about feelings with your child, help them to understand what they are feeling and what the appropriate responses could be.

- Getting children to focus on their different senses can help them to relax and explore their emotions. For example you could ask them to listen to a piece of music or the birds singing, to walk slowly counting to ten, or smell something sweet such as lavender.
- Ask your child to lie down and place a teddy on their tummy, ask them to focus on the teddy moving up and down slowly with their breathing.
