Year 4 had a fantastic times this week exploring the viscosity of different liquids. We cheered on the substances as they raced down the track!
I’m sure it won’t come as a surprise to anyone that not only did treacle take a long time to get the bottom but also wasn’t particularly fun to clear up!
We can’t wait for our experiment!
Thank you for all the fantastic entries. Please see the photographs and our winning entries for the competition. Well done to all involved!
Thank you very much for every penny donated today. The children and staff have enjoyed lots of super jokes, performances and laughs together. The final total will be revealed next week but if you are watching Comic Relief tonight and would like to add to our donations, you can donate until Wednesday. 👏👏👏. Well done everyone.
All of the Reception staff would like to say a massive well done to every Reception child as they have been incredible this week. They have settled back in to school so well; it is like they had never been away! We have been doing lots of exciting things this week around the story ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. We have planted our own beans to see if we can build our very own beanstalks in school. In Maths, we have been looking at number bonds to 10 with numicon which the children have been super at. The children have loved exploring outdoors and have helped sort the flower bed ready to plant some flowers. They have loved having PE again and enjoyed joining Mr Tavener’s virtual assembly.
Next week we will still be focusing on ‘Jack and the beanstalk’ and in Maths we will carry on looking at numbers bonds to 10 but with a 10 frame.
Hello boys and girls, here is my last assembly for when most of the school are learning from home. It is about saying thank you to everyone who has helped you over the last 2 months.
Hello boys and girls, here is my assembly for this week. It is all about your dreams of coming back to School.
I hope you all had a lovely half term break. This weeks story for family story time is 'Look Up' by Nathan Bryon. It is about a little girl with big dreams! I hope you enjoy it!
The children and staff in coral bubble have had an extremely busy and fun half term. They have been learning through play and sensory exploration and have enjoyed the stories of 'The Gingerbread Man', 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears' and 'Mr Wolf's Pancakes'. They even ate their own chocolate spread pancakes - yum yum!
Take a look at some of their wonderful work.
Hi boys and girls, here are three lovely posters sent in after last week's assembly that I wanted to share with you all.
Here is my assembly for this week. I thought I could give you a little fun project to do over half term ... you could make your very own time capsule. Have a look at my assembly to give you some ideas. I do hope you are all doing OK. Take care and see you soon!
Welcome to this weeks Mrs Maguire's Family Story Time. This week we are reading 'The Koala Who Could' by Rachel Bright. This is the same author who wrote 'The Lion Inside' which we read in Week 1 of the story time sessions. This is a story all about having a 'growth mindset' and a 'can do' attitude to give things a try even when you find them tricky. I hope you enjoy!
